GEO: get your content cited by AI search and answer engines

Buyers increasingly ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews which store is worth buying from. GEO makes sure those answers cite your pages — and cite them accurately.

GEO versus SEO

SEO: being found

Rankings and clicks in search results. Crawling, indexing, canonical tags, internal links, titles and page coverage.

GEO: being cited

Whether answer engines quote your content when generating an answer. Q&A structure, fact density, source attribution, entity consistency, AI crawl permissions.

Shared foundation

Both need crawlable, parseable, factually explicit content. If the content is not good enough, neither layer works — which is why the two services are priced separately.

Deliverables

Visibility audit ($299 / ¥1,997 / RM1,220)

  • Question set: 15–20 real buyer questions covering category, price comparison, materials and specifications, delivery windows, returns and after-sales.
  • Citation checks: each question asked in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews; recorded whether you are cited, who is cited instead, and what your pages are missing.
  • Crawl permissions: whether robots.txt blocks AI crawlers (GPTBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended) and whether llms.txt exists and is correct.
  • Structure: are FAQ and specification data parseable, and are brand, model and parameter names consistent across pages.
  • Output: gap list, per-question rewrite recommendations, 10–15 page report, recording, 30-minute call, one clarification round.

Content sprint ($899 / ¥6,005 / RM3,668)

  • Everything in the visibility audit.
  • 5–8 pages or articles rewritten: from descriptive to answerable — one clear answer per question, no vague adjectives.
  • Citable facts completed: material, dimensions, load capacity, delivery window, return conditions, with an update date.
  • Structured data: FAQPage, Product and Organization markup reflecting content actually on the page.
  • Crawl configuration: robots rules and llms.txt set up without affecting normal Google crawling.
  • Two revision rounds within the agreed 5–8 pages.

Not included: bulk new article production, backlink or PR placement, platform-specific exposure boosts, guaranteed citation ratios. New content is quoted separately.

Timeline

  1. Day 0: submit the store and target market; eligibility within 24 hours.
  2. Day 1: work starts; the question set is drafted first for you to add real buyer phrasing.
  3. Days 1–3: question-by-question citation checks, crawl and structure review.
  4. Days 3–5: report and recording delivered; 30-minute walkthrough.
  5. Optional: content sprint takes 5–7 business days, then the same question set is re-tested.

What I need from you

  • Store URL and target market (country, language)
  • Store backend read-only access (editable access for the content sprint)
  • If available: the 10 questions your buyers ask most in the last 3 months — chat logs, reviews or emails
  • For robots, llms.txt or server changes: read-only access or a developer who can apply snippets
  • Brand name, model naming rules and any wording that must not change

Acceptance criteria

  • The report records, per question: whether you were cited before the change, which sources were cited, and what was missing.
  • After the sprint the same question set is re-tested, recording three checkable items: crawlable, parseable, factually complete.
  • Structured data validates with official testing tools and only marks content shown on the page.
  • No citation ratio, AI answer ranking or resulting traffic is guaranteed.

Frequently asked questions

Is GEO double-charging on top of SEO?

No. SEO addresses whether your pages can be found and indexed. GEO addresses whether AI answer engines cite you when a buyer asks a question — and whether the citation is accurate. Both run over the same content, but the checklists, question sets and deliverables differ.

How soon will AI engines cite my content?

No timeline and no citation-ratio guarantee. What can be verified are the prerequisites: can the content be crawled (are AI crawlers blocked in robots.txt), is it structurally parseable (Q&A and specifications in structured form), are the facts complete (materials, dimensions, delivery windows, return conditions), and is the source and update date stated.

Does adding llms.txt affect Google?

No. llms.txt is a convention for large language models; it does not replace robots.txt or sitemaps and does not change how Google crawls and indexes your store. I configure it alongside existing robots rules so nothing conflicts.

Should I do this in English or Chinese?

It depends on your target market. English question sets for Southeast Asian buyers, Chinese question sets for Chinese-speaking audiences. Running both requires two question sets and is quoted separately.

What this service does not promise

  • No promised share of AI citations and no ranking guarantee inside any AI product.
  • No invented credentials, clients or figures; page facts are confirmed by you.
  • Crawling and citation rules are set by the platforms and outside this service.
